Windows, Siding & Doorsin Downers Grove, IL

Downers Grove's tree-lined streets and historic downtown come with a lot of character and a lot of homes built well before modern energy codes. Sears kit houses, foursquares, and mid-century ranches sit a few blocks apart, with newer infill filling the gaps. NextWave Exteriors has served DuPage County since 1982, and the balance between keeping a home's character and upgrading its performance is what shapes nearly every recommendation we make here.

Windows That Look Like They Belong

On a historic street the goal is not to modernize the look; it is to stop the drafts and keep the proportions. We measure every opening and order Pella® and ProVia® windows to fit, with grille patterns, exterior colors, and hardware that suit the era. For a newer home, the job is simpler: better glass, tighter seals, lower bills.

Siding With the Right Profile

A foursquare wants a clapboard shadow line; a 1960s ranch can take a wider lap. We install James Hardie fiber cement, board and batten, cedar shake profiles, and insulated vinyl, chosen for the house and for the shade that Downers Grove's mature trees put on it.

Entry, Patio, and Storm Doors

An older entry deserves a door with the right proportions and glass pattern. Our fiberglass and steel entry doors come in sizes that suit older frames, our patio doors seal properly, and a storm door protects an original door you would rather keep.

Why Downers Grove Homeowners Choose NextWave

The story we hear most often here is a previous contractor who either pushed modern windows that clashed with the house or quoted historic replicas at a price that made no sense. The right answer is usually in between, and it takes an in-person look to find it. Every job is backed by our lifetime labor guarantee from a family-owned company that has served Chicagoland since 1982.
