West Chicago grew up around the railroad, and the older homes near the historic core and Main Street show it: tall frames, deep porches, and window openings cut long before standard sizes existed. Around them, DuPage County's growth filled in subdivisions from the 1970s onward. NextWave Exteriors has worked on both kinds of house since 1982, sometimes in the same week.
Windows for Rail-Town Originals and Newer Builds
Near the historic core, we measure each opening and order Pella® and ProVia® windows to fit, so the new units keep the proportions of the house. In the newer neighborhoods the job is usually replacing failed builder-grade glass with insulated units that actually cut the heating bill. Our West Chicago window replacement page covers the details.
Siding That Handles DuPage Winters
We install James Hardie fiber cement, insulated vinyl, and vinyl lap siding. For older homes a clapboard or board and batten profile keeps the character; for a split-level off Route 59, insulated vinyl adds comfort and cuts maintenance.
Doors That Fit the Frame
Older entries are often narrower or taller than a stock slab, and forcing a standard door in is how drafts start. We fit fiberglass and steel entry doors to the frame you have, replace patio doors, and install storm doors that add a second layer of weather protection.
Why West Chicago Homeowners Call NextWave
The right recommendation here depends on which part of town your home is in, and we treat that as the start of the conversation. Every installation is covered by our lifetime labor guarantee, and we have been a family-owned Chicagoland company since 1982.

I would like to thank Dave Jr. and Dave Sr. for spending there time explaining everything that well be done on the job site. The price was reasonable and the workmanship was very good.
Could not have asked for a better experience. Great communication, responsive, on time, and high quality work at a fair price! Super happy with our new windows!
We loved that this is a local family owned business. From the very beginning the process was very easy. Dave was very easy to talk to and we were explained everything in detail. The project was done within 4-5 weeks and looks great. Would highly recommend.
